We were contracted through Technology Construction Inc to perform the field welding of a new bridge being installed near Canyon Lake. This was a bit of a rush job as the project was well underway but the company had lost their certified welder. Within two weeks of initial contact, we were able to obtain our Bridge Welding Certification AWS D1.5 and have the job complete after 3 days on site, at 10pm of our stated completed date.
The bridge spans 80′ in length, 16′ wide and is 70′ over the ravine below! We used an engine driven Lincoln 330 MPX and over 100lbs of 7018 rod tying the girders to base plate and the decking to girders.
